Microchip’s MOST150 technology, has been implemented in the Aston Martin DB11 infotainment system

Microchip Technology has announced that its MOST150 technology has been implemented in the Aston Martin DB11.

Aston Martin Lagonda has been utilising MOST technology for years, and has migrated from MOST25 to MOST150 technology for its latest model. The DB11 is one of the first Aston Martin cars to base its infotainment system on MOST150.

Utilising OS81110 Intelligent Network Interface Controllers (INICs), the MOST150 offers dedicated application specific interfaces to simplify data communication.

The MOST Cooperation standards enable automotive OEMs and their Tier 1 suppliers with a methodology for implementing high-bandwidth infotainment and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). The MOST technology includes use of standard physical layer and method for system management and control as well as Quality of Service (QoS).
