Syrma Technology announced the launch of its latest and fifth manufacturing plant at Bawal, located in the Delhi-Mumbai industrial corridor. Built with an investment commitment of US $10 Mn. in next 3 years, this new plant is designed to fortify Syrma’s market position within the high-demand electronics market in India, including automotive, industrial, healthcare and Aerospace & Defence.
The 26,000 Sq. ft. facility has initial capacity to assemble over 2,000 sq. metres of PCBAs (Printed Circuit Board Assemblies)/annum in Class 10,000 cleanroom for SMT (Surface Mount Technology) Assembly, which can be expanded up to 5 times of its present capacity in the next 3 years. At its full capacity, the plant will create employment opportunities for over 1,000 people. Syrma, a part of Tandon group, has been an export-oriented business unit for over a decade. Earlier this year, the company announced the setting up of this facility as part of its foray into the domestic market.
“With the launch of our new facility, Syrma will be positioned to gain a stronger foothold among domestic electronics manufacturing in India, for India,” said Sreeram Srinivasan, Syrma Technology CEO. “As more and more domestic tech-savvy customers crave world-class and smart products, we’re excited about bringing our legacy of innovation and quality to more consumers in our home country.”
