Parliament House turns up to shimmery as Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated a special dynamic system of 875 LED lights, that have been installed on the façade of Parliament House to enhance the building’s grandeur.
According to Lok Sabha secretariat officials, 875 LED lights, which will change colour every few seconds. These are power efficient and uses only one-fifth of the electricity compared to other types of lights.
These lights are also installed in the Parliament library and Parliament Annexure building. The Parliament was previously decked up for special occasions like Independence Day, Republic Day and Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti but will now have these lights as a permanent beautification feature.
Besides PM Modi, Lok Sabha Speaker, Vice Chairman of Rajya Sabha, several cabinet ministers and MPs were also present at the inauguration event.A similar lighting system was installed on the South and North Block at Raisina Hills in 2017.
