    New Delhi to Host LASER World of PHOTONICS INDIA 2017

    The 6th edition of LASER World of PHOTONICS INDIA, the only trade fair for the laser and photonics industry in India will take place from September 14 to 16, 2017 at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi. The three-day trade fair will provide manufacturers from various user industries, distributors, government authorities and state corporations with opportunities to interact and network with exhibitors from across the industry.

    Bhupinder Singh, CEO of Messe Muenchen India says: “We are pleased that this year we will have the largest edition ever in terms of exhibitors, technologies and exhibition space. Laser and optical technologies have become significant for many industries and with our conferences we aim to offer knowledge and value to our visitors.”

    Spread over 5000 sqm with about 165 exhibitors, some of the leading companies such as Advanced Photonics, Coherent Laser India, EO Technics, IPG Photonics, Laser Science, Max Photonics, Sahajanand Laser Technology, Scantech Laser, Star Laser, Suresh Indu Lasers, TRUMPF among many others are participating. Technology will also be showcased at country pavilions of Germany, China, Lithuania and the USA.

    Business, academia and research – hand in hand

    To enable scientists, industry experts and users to exchange information and experiences, the trade fair will feature two conferences which will include a series of specific presentations and panel discussions to examine industry topics. The Additive Manufacturing Insight (AMI) – International Conference on Additive Manufacturing Technology will be held on October 15, 2017. It will offer attendees a comprehensive understanding of the state-of-the-art in 3D printing and latest technological advances in 3D printers and its application for the Indian market. Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Photonics Short Courses – IEEE Photonics will be organizing four industrial short courses on Fiber Lasers and Applications, Ultrafast Lasers and Medical Applications of Lasers, Nanophotonics and Nano-Technology and Fundamentals of Fiber Optics and Waveguides.

    Special pavilions: Additive Manufacturing & Machine Vision Pavilion

    Industrial 3D printing has reached its tipping point, and is about to go mainstream in a way that will revolutionize the economy. Understanding its prominence in near future, LASER World of PHOTONICS India for the first time will be dedicating a special exhibition area showcasing laser based processed and systems for Additive Manufacturing in industrial applications. The focus behind the dedicated area will be to showcase comprehensive information about the state-of-the-art in 3D printing and its applications for the Indian market. Leading companies such as Capricot Technologies, 3D Systems, Novabeans Prototyping Labs, Redington India Limited, Renishaw Metrology Systems, Shree Rapid Technologies and Stratasys will be seen participating at the Additive Manufacturing pavilion.

    Apart from knowledge rich conferences, the trade fair will also feature Machine Vision Pavilion where OEMs, mechanical engineering companies and system houses will learn about the latest innovations. Industrial giants like Coherent and Mahr will be seen exhibiting for this segment.

    Laser Safety Forum and Buyer Seller Forum

    The Laser Safety Forum is another attraction this year which will cover all aspects of laser safety practice and hazard control. Laser safety experts share their know-how and teach about the practical applications of laser safety. Manufacturers of laser safety products meet new customers and help them make their work safer. The Laser Safety Forum will explore every day scenarios that any user involved in laser activities may encounter.

    Building on the success of past edition, Messe Muenchen India is again organizing the ‘Buyer Seller Forum’ where buyers and sellers will meet face to face in conducive business environment. The forum offers a strong value proposition to the participants by connecting them with a potential business associate.
