Allegro MicroSystems, a global leader in power and sensing semiconductor technology, announced the AMT49105, its newest ISO-26262 compliant N-channel power MOSFET driver. The AMT49105 simplifies motor systems designs and provides footprint reduction by integrating power analog systems requirements.
With a robust output gate drive, this device can be used in a wide range of applications, including power applications >1KW. Additionally, the AMT49105 provides the LIN transceiver, regulated microprocessor supply, phase monitors for sensorless BLDC control and other unique features that reduce overall power consumption required in today’s efficient vehicles.
The AMT49105 is an excellent fit for high-power inductive safety automotive and industrial applications, such as engine cooling fans, braking and multiple pump applications where supplies range from 5.5V to 50V. Advanced diagnostics monitor and indicate system faults, internal faults and power bridge faults to assure safe systems operation. The AMT49105 is designed to the ISO-26262 standard and is compliant to an ASIL-B level.
“We’re excited to add this ASIL-certified device to our portfolio of over 30 other devices compliant with ISO 26262,” said Vijay Mangtani, Vice President of Allegro’s Power IC Business Unit. “We’re committed to moving technology, and the world towards a safer future.”
The Allegro AMT49105 is supplied in a small 48-lead QFN package with exposed thermal pad reducing the footprint by ~40% compared to an equivalent QFP. This package is lead (Pb) free with 100% matte-tin leadframe plating. The device is priced at $3.23 in quantities of 1,000.
