Larson Electronics, a leading industrial lighting company, has announced the release of a hazardous area LED light approved for Class I Division 1 & 2, Class 2 Division 1 & 2, and approved for use within paint spray booths. This light features CREE LED technology and is an excellent replacement/upgrade for applications that require little to no contamination such as, spray paint booths, medical applications, pharmaceutical, and laboratories.
The HALD-24-1X2-1X50LED is an Class I Division 1 & 2, Class II Divisions 1 & 2, and spray paint booth rated hazardous location LED light. This 1 by 2-foot low-profile fixture provides 6,250 lumens of high quality light and drawing only 50 watts. An integrated LED assembly contains multiple LED drivers, increasing the fixture’s operational life. These LED drivers are part of LED boards that operate individually, if one driver fails, the others will continue to work normally.
This explosion proof LED light is protected by a powder coated non-sparking aluminum frame with a 3/16” polycarbonate door for direct front access to internal components. This sturdy construction gives the lamp excellent durability and resistance to vibration and impacts. The HALD-24-1X2-1X50LED is low profile, designed for recess mounting, and lightweight, making it an attractive alternative to older, bulkier fixtures. The clean room LED light’s special heat dissipating design and LED technology helps it achieve an excellent 60,000 hour rated lifespan and 80% lumen retention.
“This LED is ideal for clean rooms and similar applications because of the low profile, factory sealed design,” said Rob Bresnahan, CEO of Larson Electronics. “Recessed mounting allows the fixture to be used in tight spaces, and the factory seal prevents contaminants from building up, as they would in the creases other fixtures have”, he added.
