GIADA, a provider of embedded PCs, embedded motherboards, server and storage appliances, is proud to announce its latest industrial PC, the ISC-261. The ISC-261 joins the AS20 in Giada’s family of Industrial PCs and industrial embedded motherboards as an industrial control PC, or sturdy option for demanding retail and (outdoor) digital signage.
Available in two configurations, with Intel Celeron N3350 for maximum performance, or Intel Atom x5-E3930 designed for extended operating ranges, the ISC-261 excels through its high-efficiency processing and rugged design aimed at industrial use. The Celeron N3350 powered ISC-261 is optimized for performance in regulated environments along with an operator, while the Atom x5-E3930 powered version is certified for use in -20 °C to 60 °C (approximately -4 to 140 °F) environments, ideal for remote locations and situations where minimum human interaction is required, or possible.
Flexible configurations for shelf displays in retail
The indoor variant of the ISC-261 is powered by an Intel Celeron N3350 Apollo Lake CPU, and delivers all-around performance on both CPU and Graphics level, up to a 4K resolution (HDMI) thanks to its Intel HD 500 graphics. To provide flexible display connection choices for customers, the PC supports either an HDMI port (up to 3840 x 2160 pixels @30 Hz) or VGA port (1920 x 1080 pixels @60 Hz).
Excellent option of outdoor and DS solutions
For out-door and wide-temperature ranges, the ISC-261 with Intel Atom x5-E3930 can operate between -20 °C to 60 °C. Meanwhile, its sturdy industrial casing has been optimized to dissipate heat, keeping internal temperatures as low as possible without using an active fan. Its small size and fanless design make the ISC-261 ideal to implement in dirty environments unsuitable for actively cooled PCs. These features make the ISC-261 an excellent option in outdoor digital signage solutions for marine, food factories, steel mills, and gas pumps.
Ideal choice for semi-outdoor applications
With e-commerce booming and many consumers resorting to online shopping, more and more companies are turning to 24/7 secure pick-up kiosks. These kiosks are found indoor as well as in semi-outdoor environments and require high-quality components that can operate safely under these circumstances. The industrial-grade, fanless ISC-261 can operate in an extended temperature range (-20 °C to 60 °C), to deliver 24/7 service regardless of the weather.
Broad I/O options
The ISC-261’s base configuration consists of 2GB DDR3L-1600, mSATA based storage, and rich I/O with both an RS-232 port, two USB 3.0 ports, and one USB 2.0 port to allow multiple industrial control & peripheral options simultaneously. With onboard Intel Gigabit LAN as well as a Wi-Fi option (M.2 2230) the ISC-261 can be used with both local and remote connections. The ISC-261 Supports Windows 10 (64-bit) and Linux and is powered by a 19V DC Input for flexible installation.
