The SIC Marking Group has taken over the German company Nill + Ritz CNC-Technik GmbH and is expanding its range of marking systems for all industrial applications. The portfolios of the two companies complement each other perfectly – and the German SIC Marking GmbH is thus strengthening its presence in Germany.
From simple manual marking to automatic dot peen marking and individual marking with high-performance laser marking systems. The SIC Marking Group, headquartered near Lyon, France, has made a name for itself worldwide when it comes to product marking as well as data-supported product identification and tracing in the automotive, aerospace, mechanical engineering, and energy markets, among others.
The focus is on high-quality marking systems, which can be ordered as standard systems or customized. Around 450 employees work in the entire group. In this context the “perfect fit”, resulting from the recent takeover of Nill + Ritz CNC-Technik GmbH in Markgröningen near Stuttgart, is obvious. The company, which was founded in 1993, has about 25 employees who have designed highly individualized marking stations and supplied them to well-known customers in the industry.
Michael Endemann, Managing Director of SIC Marking GmbH in Germany and new Managing Director of Nill+ Ritz said “With the takeover of Nill + Ritz, we are supplementing our product range with advanced customized marking solutions based on dot peen, scribing, and laser technologies.”
In most N+R systems, the components are supplied and positioned automatically. An immediate inline evaluation of the marking process, e.g. through image processing, can also be integrated. It is planned that Nill + Ritz will retain both the name and the headquarter in Markgröningen. Michael Endemann further added “The company is well known, it has a very good reputation and highly qualified employees. It would be bad advice to change the name or the location. There is a very high potential for synergies for both German companies, which will lead to high growth. Our sales department now has advanced customized marking systems in its portfolio, and Nill + Ritz will benefit from our worldwide sales and service presence.”
On asking what will change in the market position of both companies, he replied, “Together we are now the largest supplier of marking systems in our product area in Germany with an order intake of 15 million euros.”
