Mouser Electronics, Inc., the industry’s leading New Product Introduction (NPI) distributor with the widest selection of semiconductors and electronic components, is now stocking Himalaya uSLIC DC-DC power modules from Maxim Integrated. Offering an ultra-small power source to drive high-voltage industrial and consumer applications, the micro system-level IC (uSLIC) modules provide a wide input voltage range for factory automation, medical, and communications devices.
The Maxim Himalaya uSLIC power modules, available from Mouser Electronics, enable cooler, smaller, and simpler power supply solutions. Housed in exceptionally small packages, the modules accept a wide input voltage from 4.0 V to 60 V and deliver up to 300 mA output current over adjustable output voltages.
The modules integrate a synchronous wide-input Himalaya buck regulator, which includes built-in FETs, compensation and other functions, with a shielded inductor in a minuscule 2.6 mm × 3.0 mm × 1.5 mm package. The modules use a peak-current-mode control architecture and offer a soft-start feature to reduce input inrush current.
Compliant to CISPR 22 (EN 5022) Class B and JEDEC certified, the Maxim Himalaya uSLIC power modules deliver increased energy efficiency, shock and vibration tolerance, high temperature operation, and electromagnetic interference (EMI) compliance.
The devices boast an ambient operating temperature range of minus 40 to 125 degrees Celsius and are guarded by hiccup overcurrent protection and overtemperature protection. Ideal for space-constrained applications in small enclosures, the modules offer a power solution to support industrial sensors, motor encoders, building control, 4mA to 20mA current-loop powered sensors, and low dropout (LDO) regulator replacement.
