2 Percent Increase in Germans Electronics Products Spending

A report coming from German digital association BITKOM, stated that German people spent more money on electronics products in 2017 with a year-on-year increase of 2 percent, reported German digital association BITKOM on February 12, 2108.

2017 recorded an annual average of nearly 1,560 euros spent by Germans on electronics products, of which 855 euros went for IT products purchases while 704 euros went to telecommunication products, said the report.

Germany’s growth rate in terms of electronics products consumption scored the European Union’s average level but was still left behind by Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Britain, Finland and the Netherlands.

“It becomes more important to establish a digital EU inside market,” said Achim Berg, the BITKOM president, referring to the consumption differences within the union.
